Due to low fuel/ammo cost and large number of DDs at hand they are the main expedition workforce that makes up the bulk of your fleets. You'll meet those in the upcoming event and you won't like them, trust me. They are the most efficient class against PT Imps. They are solid anti-installation boats (but recently there was a shift toward DA attacks in this field).

Akizuki-class AACI is the most reliable in the game. They still are the best anti-submarine boats. Once you start seeing 4 digits fuel costs per sortie in eventa, you'll start liking your DDs a lot more. Fresh new Haruna has 2/3rd of her max potential damage, while fresh new Murasame has barely 15%. But DD Murasame has 10 out of 68, and can only be modernized to 29 before remodels. For example, FBB Haruna at level 1 has 63 out of her max 96 firepower, and can immediately be modernized to 89 out of 96. One important thing that was not mentioned yet is that DDs require levels, remodels and modernization to shine. In general, Kagerou and Yuugumo-class destroyers have pretty good K2 stats and can deal a decent amount of damage if you don't need something more specific. They can also deal higher damage to installation-type enemies.Īny destroyers who can use tanks and daihatsu will have a consistent job as they can murder installation-type bosses. Shimakaze- really high stats, if she ever gets a K2 she'll be less a destroyer and closer to a decent light cruiserĪny destroyers who can carry daihatsu are useful for sending on expeditions. Jervis, Shigure, Yukikaze, Ayanami- kit them for torpedo cut-ins and they will kill bosses for you.
